The main event of the final day of the annual Hiroshima Flower Festival is the Yosakoi dance parade. The dance style combines traditional Japanese dance with modern music.

Over several hours, scores of groups in colorful costumes and dramatic make-up, perform their own version of the dance in the hope that they will be selected as one of the top teams. There is such passion and joy in many of the dancers faces- it really is great fun to watch!
