What Machiko Hasegawa Loved 2020-2021

Explore treasures at the Machiko Hasegawa Museum

活动地点: Machiko Hasegawa Museum 活动时间: Oct 10th - Jan 11th 2021

A special event taking place at the Machiko Hasegawa Museum in Setagaya is titled "What Machiko Hasegawa Loved". Hasegawa was one of Japan's first female manga artists, and she used the proceeds from her manga works like "Sazae-san" and "Ijiwaru Baasan" to collect an impressive variety of arts and crafts. The Machiko Hasegawa Museum was opened in 1985 so that the general public could enjoy this collection of treasures, too.

The special exhibition of pieces that Hasegawa loved includes works from renowned Japanese painters including Gyoshu Hayami, Taikan Yokoyama, Yuki Ogura, and Yasushi Sugiyama, and other forms of art like ceramics. Adult admission to the event is priced at 900 yen.

交通方式

The Machiko Hasegawa Museum is located 7 minutes on foot from Sakura-shimmachi Station, served by the Tokyu Denentoshi Line.

There is no dedicated parking facility on-site, so utilizing public transport wherever possible is advised. There are paid parking lots in the surrounding streets, however.
