Extended Reality (XR) events redefine the traditional boundaries of human experience by seamlessly blending the physical and virtual worlds, and a seasonal illumination event in Tokyo's Shinagawa area utilizes this technology.
The Shinagawa Illumination with VR City runs until Christmas Day at six spots across the city, which are all walkable from Shinagawa Station:

- NTT Shinagawa Twins Square
- THE CAMPUS
- Shinagawa Season Terrace Grand Staircase
- Shinagawa Season Terrace Event Square
- Takahama Canal
By downloading the event app "Shinagawa Illumination with XR City" to your smartphone, you can enjoy XR content related to Shinagawa at the various sites. Additionally, certain spots have special content where visitors receive points that can be used at select stores at Shinagawa Season Terrace.
There is no admission fee to enjoy the event, so stop by if you're in the area this December!
