Growing up in my home prefecture, Fukushima after the earthquake and the nuclear plant explosions when I was 5 years old left a lasting mark on who I am today. Seeing my community change overnight, and witnessing the long-term impact on people, land, and the future we once took for granted, made sustainability and sustainble energy deeply personal to me. Those experiences shaped my values and gave me a strong sense of responsibility toward protecting the environment and supporting resilient communities. As a graduate of Griffith University, I have continued to build on this awareness, turning lived experience into a commitment to sustainable and responsible practices.
