Tokyo-based artist Eiji Tamura focuses on a unique theme in his artworks – dogs. Influenced by street art in US cities like Los Angeles and New York, his canine creations are ultra vibrant and colorful in line with the pop art genre.
A special exhibition taking place at Niigata Isetan will explore a number of Tamura's works, plus there will be the opportunity to commission him to paint a portrait of your own dog. Pricing for these differs by the size of the artwork requested, and the turnaround time is anywhere from three to five months.
Isetan Niigata is located under 10 minutes on foot from Niigata Station, which is served by the Joetsu Shinkansen, the Shinetsu Main Line, the Hakushin Line, and the Echigo Line.
