Hinokage Chestnut Festival 2026

Chestnuts, known as kuri in Japanese, are one of the representative tastes of autumn. Their sweet, earthy flavor can be enjoyed in its simplest form – roasted – but you'll also see chestnuts used in a myriad of desserts including the ever-popular Mont Blanc.

If you'd like to satiate your cravings, a two-day event at the Four Seasons Fureai Mall in Miyazaki will be serving up the prefecture's own chestnuts from the Hinokage area. There will be raw chestnuts, roasted chestnuts, and other chestnut-related specialty products available to purchase.

If you plan to stop by, please note that the event hours will be different each day. On September 27, the event runs from 10am to 5pm, and on September 28, the hours are shortened slightly to 10am to 3pm.
