Riusuke Fukahori is a Nagoya-born contemporary artist who focuses on one specific subject matter in his work: goldfish. Fukahori is well-known for his use of resin and paint to make ultra-realistic 3D creations, and a special exhibition taking place at the Iwate Museum of Art explores these unique pieces. Approximately 300 works in total will be on display at the event.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1000 yen, and no advance reservations are required.

The Iwate Museum of Art is located around 15 minutes drive from the Morioka Minami IC on the Tohoku Expressway. Free parking is available at the Morioka Chuo Park.

For those who are visiting via public transport, buses are available to the museum from Morioka Station, which is served by various lines including the Akita Shinkansen, the Tohoku Shinkansen, and the Tohoku Main Line. It's also only around 20 minutes on foot from the station if you'd prefer to save yourself the bus fare.
