Shimizu Park Flower Fantasia is a real celebration of spring, with around 2000 cherry trees covering 50 varieties to enjoy – including the ever popular somei yoshino type, as well as other f. The park is so well-regarded for sakura that it made the list of Japan's Top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots back in 1990.
Along with the plentiful blooms to appreciate, the event will also include food trucks for those wanting to grab a bite to eat, plus evening illuminations showcasing the blossoms after dark.

Getting there
Shimizu Park is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from the west exist of Shimizu-koen Station on the Tobu Urban Park Line.
For those who opt to drive, the venue is around 12 kilometers from either the Nagareyama Interchange or the Kashiwa Interchange on the Joban Expressway. On-site parking is available for over 1000 vehicles.
