みなさんは宮本武蔵と巌流島で決闘した歴史上の剣豪、佐々木小次郎が「燕返し」を考案した場所が福井にある事をご存知だろうか? 福井には一乗谷朝倉氏遺跡という有名な遺跡がある。そこから3キロほど山中分け入れば、あの小次郎が、その必殺技「燕返し」を編み出したと言われる一乗滝、通称「小次郎の滝」なるものがあるのだ。ここへ到達するには車か徒歩のみ。徒歩の場合4～50分はかかる。歩いてまで行きたくない人のために、小次郎の滝が如何なるものか、ここにご紹介する。
