Radiant Tulips looking like wine glasses brimming with spring sunshine

Soft light of spring enhances the tender textures and snowy purity of these flowers

Bellflowers fluttering in the breeze

There are some Japanese booths inside Yumebutai Green House. How relaxing!

If these pretty bellflowers could be played, I imagine they would make a fresh melody

Chinese milk vetch used to be planted for fertilizer, but we don't see them these days

Jatropha curcas, commonly known as Southern Cherry Blossom in Japan. It surely looks like red cherry blossom with five petals.

Very beautiful and rare turquoise jade vine, which has been categorized as an endangered species.

This soft flower looks like Chinese milk vetch, but it is not. Unfortunately I couldn't find its name.

2014年４月　明石海峡大橋を渡り花の島、兵庫県の淡路島を訪れた。

この淡路夢舞台なる施設は、国営明石海峡公園と夢舞台温室や国際会議場、ホテル、プロムナードガーデン、野外劇場などで構成されている巨大なランドスケープだ。今回はとても華やかで、一年を通じて大変賑わう明石海峡公園と温室”奇跡の星”を紹介したい。特に今の季節、春の優しい光が花の柔らかい質感をしっとりと表現している。チューリップの花はとても眩しく、春の陽光を溢れんばかりに注がれているようだった。
