Kairakuen is one of the most famous gardens in Japan. It is most well-known for its plum blossoms, which bloom in March.The ume (plum) soft serve ice cream alone is enough to make me want to brave the crowds there again. It is perfectly tangy, full of plum flavor, and has little bits of plum mixed in. The park itself is big enough to find a few unpopulated nooks to reflect on the true beauty of the scenery.
