Perhaps after a filling meal at one of the local restaurants loved by the sumo wrestlers in Ryogoku, a walk around the Kyu-Yasuda Garden is a perfect break before you go on to your next destination. Originally built as a daimyo garden during the Edo Period, the garden was eventually bought by the Yasuda family - the owner of one of the wealthiest corporate conglomerates during the Meiji era. Still maintained meticulously, the Kyu-Yasuda Teien is opened to the public for a pleasant stroll around the Japanese-style garden.
